HISTORY

The first years

On the 1st of May 1914 the company was found by Mrs. Rosa Rössler. You have to consider that in those days a woman had to have huge selfconfidence to run a company on her own. This involvement and will of hers has been necessary to bring up the business to a successful level.

The start has been very difficult and throughout the First World War besides fishing gear also products of every day life like splits and doormats have been sold. Nevertheless the range of fishing gear has been steadily increased.

In 1924 her stepson Karl Kramreiter was born and helped her already as a child. In 1937 the company was extended and the fishing gear range caused in these days more than half of the sales figures.


Period of Growth

In 1952 Rosa Rössler died and her son overtook the company. He also started producing fishing gear and the export business. The fishing rods have been sold under the brandname Rossyl and ADMIRAL, which are still registered trademarks today. The export of fishing rods has been expanded as far as Australia.

The main goal of the company Rössler is on one hand independence and on the other hand the good relationship to the fishermen to whom we want to deliver perfect products for their needs. This target is much more important than any pressure from suppliers. The absolute independence from suppliers has been the reason for offering many different products throughout the years.

A long period of cooperation was possible with Daiwa, Shimano and ABU, which we finished as we did not get the right products any more or the influence in our business tended to give up part of our range of products. It always was and still is the most important for us to offer the best possible fishing gear on the market.

Development of Byron

In 1988 we started among our own brandname Byron to produce rods for the Austrian market. In cooperation with the Technical University of Vienna it has been possible to realize further developments. In the meantime we are distributed everywhere in Europe and we keep on seeking the fullfillment of special wishes of our customers.

We therefore offer special series for certain countries, that are tailermade for our customers needs in these geographical areas.

For the 3rd Millenium we invested much development power in reels, that will be available in 2001. Further development in this area are in planning stage and will be put through in the near future.

As the companys manager and owner in the third generation I herewith guarantee you, that I will continue my fathers work and ideas after his death in 1999 in order to offer a sortiment nobody can cope with also in the future.

All this big changes in the business sector make it necessary and valuable for our customers to have a partner that guarantees to deliver constant high quality.

Due to our long experience we cooperate in production exclusively with the best companies, that assure us to deliver only the highest quality standards. In each of the manufacturies we have one or two responsible persons that are controlling our production continuously during the whole process and not only at the end of it. This assures perfect quality in every detail.

Only since we started this detailed control we were able to cope with the high demands of our customers.

Another advantage of Byron is the close cooperation with Science Institutes, that allows us to steadily use those technologies, that are cutting edge.

Service

Thanks to the high quality of our products we can offer you best service, as repairs are rarely necessary. 80 % of repairs are caused by wrong handling of our products and only a small part by material problems.


In case of material problems we chance the part without any fee - also for other damage like broken parts we will find a good solution for our customers in order to keep costs low.

Return and Refund Policy

We want you to be a satisfied customer. If you want to return an item, returned must be received in the same condition and complete with all accessories as when it was originally shipped. As long as the item is returned to us, we will issue a full refund including the original shipping charges. If the return is a result of a defective item or a mistake on our part, we will also reimburse you for the shipping to get the item back to us. Please enclose an explicitely report about the reason of the return.


Ownership of Goods

The goods remain the sole property of byron.at until payment is made in full. The goods may not be used, sold or in any way passed, or made available to, third parties until such payment is made.

If you are entering Vienna from the west driving on A1
continue after the highway until you pass Schönbrunn. After the castle turn left and follow Winkelmannstraße to the end. This street leads you after a curve to the right to Avediktstraße. Follow this street closer to the railway until a bridge that crosses the socalled Westbahn leads you to the other side. Continue straight ahead and turn right on the second light. You are in Märzstraße now and are supposed to turn left at the next street that already is Benedikt-Schellinger-Gasse.

If you are coming from the south driving on Gürtel, you turn left after the Westbahnhof and follow Felberstraße until Beinggasse and turn right here, cross Goldschlag Straße. At Märzstraße turn left and follow the street until you get to Benedikt-Schellinger-Gasse. Turn right again and you will see our company at Nr. 27.

If you are coming from the north driving on Gürtel, you turn left at Märzstraße and follow the street until you get to Benedikt-Schellinger-Gasse. Turn right again and you will see our company at Nr. 27.
