Only a few companies in "sport fishing" can look back on 90 years of experience. At Rössler of course this was a reason for celebration, but the focus was kept on continuous improvement of the offered product range. The focus of the company is given to the production and worldwide distribution of the successful brand Byron. For the traditional brands of Chub, Gray and Hardy Rössler continues to be the exclusive distributor for Austria.
1999
After the death of Karl Kramreiter, his son, Karl Kramreiter jun., in the third subsequent generation, take over the lead of the company. This secures continuity in the strategic development and future expansion.

Development of our tradebrand Byron. By working closely with the Technical University in Vienna a premium line of fishing rods was developped. Based on the great success, the Byron range was and is successfully extended.

Rössler moved to its current site in the 15th district of Vienna.

Extension of the range by starting the exclusive distribution of well-known brands in Austria. Based on the longterm experience over more than 30 years, the top brands in business trusted on Rössler. During the years, successful cooperations werde made with Abu Garcia, Chub, Greys, Hardy, Rapala, Shimano.

The wholesale trade sector, i.e. the supply of the Austrian fishing tackle shops expands massively. Rössler is the market leader and the only company that can offer a full range of fishing equipment at that time.

It was May 1st, 1914 when the company was founded by Rosa Rössler. You can consider, that it needed a big portion of self-consciousness at that time, a woman alone founded and ran a company. The beginning was challenging, and due to the First World War, beside fishing equipment demanded product of daily life like floor mats were traded. But the range of fishing tackle was constantly expanded.
